How to be a Barista?

 
Until now, there is no government certified official license for Barista. But Korea Coffee Association runs a program.
 
 
 
There are 2 levels,
Level 1 test
Level 1 test requires Level 2 license as a prerequisite for Writing test for level 1.
50 questions are in the test which is among Coffee history, roasting, extraction and Green tea for 60 minutes.

Next step for level 1 test is practice for 20 minutes, 10 minutes for preparation and the other 10 minutes for making. 2 kinds of coffee and 2 kinds of coffee machines is offered, Applicant can choose 1 of them and can setting coffee machine as he/she wants. 4 cups of espresso coffee must be made with applicant's ecaxt explanation of own flavor to refrees.
Another 4 cups of Cappuccino with same decoration.


 
Level 2 test

Level 2 license is easier than level 1.
It is the same that 50 questions writing test must be passed.
practise test is 15 minute long, 5 minute for preparation and 10 minutes for evaluation.
Refree's evaluation includes applicant's attituds, Espresso, Cappuccino and service skill.
